16x8 Cobra R wheels on 89 Gt
What is a good tire size out back for a 16x8 cobra r wheel on an 89 GT??? I picked up a real nice set for 65 bucks, I also got a set of 93 cobra wheels in chrome for 65 as well.... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

An 8" wheel is going to be 245, maybe a 255 max. You are gonna want to keep the tires at 25.6" diameter to avoid speedometer accuracy issues. A few MPH off can be addressed via small gear in transmission for speedo, but nice to avoid the issue.

255/50/16" = 26"
That is going to be just fine and would expect very minimal changes in anything. You will pick up about 3/16" of additional ride height and an equal mount of less gap around tire to fender than OEM size.
