Default 2011 tpms question

after doing extensive research I have determined that I can use my factory sensors in my new wheels, however I saw several articles online about replacing the valve stem when doing this. I cannot seem to find any information on the type of valvestem needed. do the tpms sensors use special stems or will a regular valve stem attach to the sensor? anyone here know?

I know that there was some changes in valve stems as it relates to TPMS. Seems to me, the '10+ rides......? now have a larger stem and give fits to aftermarket wheels, but not 100% sure.

Take a look in two places.... The first being the TPMS "sticky" in this section and the second is a search in this section. About.... gosh, probably 6 months or a year ago, this issue came up and found out about this issue with aftermarket wheels.

Good luck

It turns out they use a special valve stem. tirerack sells them for $3.50 if anyone was wondering.
