TPMS Question
It is best to have it operational, as disconnecting it is proabably a liability no-no
This issue came up in threads prior and I remember the valve-stem hole diameter was an issue for one guy. Hopefully, Luke (not your father, but he of Tire Rack!) will chime in and sure he has some info to pass along.
There used to be a sticky on the subject of TPMS in this section. Do a search for that name in the thread title and will surely find some info that will help.

Search for 2011 Mustang wheels and see what comes up. I know that at some point, the TPMS had changed and the sensor is combined with the valve stem. This requires that larger hole and is beyond the standard size for all other aftermarket wheels.
You're not the first to want aftermarket wheels for an '11 Mustang, so they are out there

I don't know about the 2011s, but for my 2008, running without sensors does trigger a low pressure alarm. It can be reset but it reappears in a few miles. At least it does not impair driving the car or prohibit you from turning off the stability control.
