2015 PP wheels on 2005 Mustang GT?
I posted this question in the appearance section and did not get a reply. Then I noticed a wheel and tire section and found the error of my ways... DOH! (Unless no one has the answer which is possible, then I'll have to look for different wheels).
Anyway, I checked the forum and google yet can't find an answer for the question I am having. I sometimes come across the black 2015 performance pack wheels and wonder if I would run into any fitment issues on my 2005 mustang GT. I have been looking to upgrade my wheels once the tires are gone, and they will be there next season. It would also be nice to get a wheel that could accommodate a big brake upgrade in the future. Which this will. And more meat on the rears is always a good thing.
Wheel Information
Size: 19"x9" & 19"x9.5"
Lugs: 5-Lug
Finish: Matte Black
19"x9" Offset: +45mm
19"x9.5" Offset: +52.5mm
19"x9" Backspacing: 165.8mm
19"x9.5" Backspacing: 179.7mm
According to the American Muscle site the 05-09 mustangs can fit 35-50mm offset. The offset of the rear wheels is more than that. So I think that might be an issue. I haven't seen any 05-09 mustangs with those 2015 performance pack wheels, but have seen them on the later 11-14's.
There will be a slight speedo variation, but it isn't enough to worry about IMHO.

So... will they bolt on? I think they would look great on my redfire!

I don't see any problems. The 18x9.5 GT500 wheels were +45 and fit up front just fine with up to a 265/xx tire. Even with 285/xx rear tires, you're going to have more room on both the inside and the fender side than I have with 18x11's with 285/35's. I don't know what the offset is, exactly, but with you only looking at a 9.5" wide wheel you've got more than enough slack to ignore any +50 limit out back. I mention 285/xx because that's normally the widest tire you should mount on any 9.5" wide wheel.
I can only guess at why AM set a +50 "limit", but it might have been as simple as making it equal to the largest +offset used by Ford (the 18x8.5 GT wheels as used back around 2007 - 2008 were +50). That way, no fitment issues would be on them. Front clearances govern.
Moving everything from the 18's that I have up to your 19" should not cause any problems, and I think I'd run 255/40-19's up front with 285/35-19's out back. Kind of like the earlier GT500 except you trade 5 profile points off the tire size in exchange for the 1" bigger wheel diameter and end up at about the same tire OD.
