Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
This is my '66 Mustang GT that my family and I completely restored in about 2 years.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
302 punched out to 306ci, flat top pistons, 270 cam, roller rockers, balanced, blue printed, 289 heads port matched, Tri-Y headers, medium rise air gap manifold, Edelbrock 600 carb, Pertronix, Chromed to taste.
Trans is a Cobra Spec T-5.
Suspension Modifications:
Grab-a-track medium eye 4 leafs in rear, 1" lowering coils in front with 1 1/2" sway bar and grab-a-track shocks all around. We also added subframe connectors.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
wheels are American Racing Torque Thrust II's- 15"
Rear tires are Firestone Indy 500's, 225s
front are Firestone Firehawks, 215s
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Body is stock in appearance, but almost all the sheet metal is brand new. The interior is also all new but stock in appearance. I do have a newer radio in there for tunes, but it looks old school upon first glance. I have also added an aftermarket humphugger console that really makes driving a pleasure.
Future Modifications:
We plan to upgrade all the wiring under dash, add an efi kit and swap in a 9" trac-loc with 3.55 gears. We are still debating whether we want to upgrade to coilovers up front or not. Read more ยป
