Warning: If you don’t want to be caught in an inescapable Internet Wormhole, don’t read on.

Seriously, don’t read on if you’re afraid of being sucked into 170 Mustang filled web pages, layered with seemingly every single Mustang that’s ever been in a movie, television show, or web series worth mentioning.

That, my friends, is the Internet Movie Car Data Base, the IMCDB, the Holy Land of movie cars.

Seriously, how many times have you been watching a movie and wondering exactly what’s the make and model of the hero’s car? Or the villain’s? Or the car that just got shot up by the hero and villain?

That’s what IMCDB gives you. Or, as our Managing Editor says, “It’s like Mr. Skin for car porn addicts.” (Not that I know what Mr. Skin is.)

If you love movies, and you love cars, well, get over to IMCDB. But if you’re really fearful of the aforementioned Mustang Wormhole, worry not, for I’ve explored the boundaries of time and space to bring you the Top 5 IMCDB Mustangs, as chosen by me, because they caught my eye right in the midst of the wormhole.

5. 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 in Bong-Ra (music video, 2006): I can’t say that I’ve ever heard of Bong-Ra before, or seen the music video that features this stunning Mach 1, but it’s safe to say that I’m already a fan.

say anything mustang

4. 1975 Ford Mustang II in Say Anything… (movie, 1989): Can you find the Mustang in this photo? It’s tough, I know, and even when you do, it’s not like she’s a beauty, but that IS the beauty of IMCDB: it even logs the background cars. That’s crazy right? And I’m not just talking about the cafe shaped like a teapot.

2014 Ford Mustang [S197] in Need For Speed, Movie, 2014

3. 2014 Ford Mustang [S197] in Need For Speed (movie, 2014): I apologetically loved this movie, mostly because I unapologetically love this Mustang.

bullitt mustang

2. 1968 Ford Mustang 390 GT 2+2 Fastback in Bullitt (movie, 1968): Though this list isn’t necessarily about the coolest or the toughest Mustangs, but more so the neatest IMCDB finds, that doesn’t mean you can have a proper list about Mustangs in movies without Steve McQueen’s Highland Green machine.

born to race mustang

1. 2005 Ford Mustang GT [S197]: Born to Race: Fast Track (movie, 2014): Have I seen Born to Race‘s lesser known sequel? No. Do I no want to? Abso-freaking-lutely. You had me at flying Mustangs. And isn’t that the best thing about IMCDB, that I’m jazzed to see another movie? I mean, Corbin Bernsen’s in it, what could go wrong?

If you’re not afraid of risking the time suck that is IMCDB, feel free to choose your favorite movie Mustangs too, and let us know in the forum.
