Thats funny,

I had a guy yesterday trying to trade his GT in because he thought it was depreciating too fast..

but what it really was is that he put his old money from being upside down on his new car..and then took the hit from that and from his depriciation..

either way...its an odd reason for wanting to trade a car in....

I would have kept it of course heh.

They're using data from online aution price listings. They're only using the numbers the cars are being LISTED for, not what they acutually SELL for.

What about Lexus and Toyota Tacomma's? I have seen those sell close to original MSRP a couple of years later!

are you kidding? My dad bought his loaded ls430 for 72k and it sold for 51k three years later...not great value retention at all.
