Nope, they dont fold down. I just throw mine in the front seat if I don't have a passenger. If I do, we throw put our bags in the back seat. I have the shaker 1000, but I bet if you dont (no subs), they would fit in the trunk width-wise.

I don't know of any year Mustang that had folding rear seats. There is a compartment between the rear seat area and the trunk. Assuming the top was up and the space wasn't occupied by the roof, even if there were folding seats and a trap door in the trunk that compartment would be very dirty, wouldn't it?
Well, you're not golfing in the rain, so just take down the roof and plop the clubs in the back seat and have fun!

I'm surprised your 2001 Camaro convertible had a folding seat.
My 1999 Trans Am convertible - same body as your 2001 because they didn't change - didn't have a folding seat for the same reason my Mustang doesn't. That is where the hydraulics and lift system is located.
Got any pictures of the folding seat on your '01?
