I bought wheels (17 X 9 36mm) and the tires (235/55 17) on Ebay.

The rims are 1/2 inch wider than OEM, I'm pretty sure this ok and will fit the car fine.

Add that width difference to the difference in the offset and then what? Will these stick out a lot?

Thewheels are1/2 inchwider than ideal for these tires - will that be ok?

What are the things I need to be concerned about?

Sorry and thanks - I'm figuring out things as I go along...

The wheels are fine, the tires are not designed for a 9 inch width wheel though....255/50 is the tire size for that width and stock height.
