Default Water leaks

I got a new 05 V6 last week and we had a ton of rain here, my car leaks bad under the dash.
Specifically through a rubber grommet on the frame where a conduit goes through.
I found un-attached from the factory!

I re-attached both of them but the water still keeps getting in.
Has anyone else had/heard of this?
Stopped by the dealer today and the service rep. said he thinks it may be a seal
on the front window or a plugged drain??

Blah sounds like typical American factory craftsmanship.

Yeah, Ford totally redesigned the 2005 Mustang, but they are still using the same assembly workers--with 'some' of them continuing to not care about their work. If Ford is going to charge $30k+ for a car, they really need to focus on designing and quality control.

Tomorrow to service dept for:
Fuel Tank replacement (design flaw)
Shaker 1000 - skips, repeats (design flaw)
Windows not going down (up?) with remote or key in door (quality control)
Paint chipping too easily. I bought the car less than a month ago and I'm scared to see what it will look like in one year if the chipping keeps up. (quality control)

I heard of this problem. A guy I know had the same problem. Ford of Redlands ended up calling in a Ford rep. who is a expert in dealing with this problem. (Ford actally has someone on payroll just for this problem. Who would of thought) Any way they ended up pulling out everything out of the car filling the car up with water to insure that it was sealed and water tight. His problem started just like yours, with the heavy rains we been have down here SoCal. He received his car in Oct. or Nov of 04. I hope this helps.

Just got mine last Friday and we had huge rains by Sunday -- I was dissapointed to find that mine leaks, glad its not just me, as maybe Ford will get enough data to find and fix the problem.

Can't decide if I will take it in for just this one thing, or wait for some more issues first.

I did seem to think that the flow of water slowed/stopped if I turned the 'outside' air off... Maybe just my imagination tho'

Ant,

I live in South Carolina and I just called Redlands Ford in Cal. and spoke to Mike who was a great help.
You are right, and he rememebers your friends car. He said the guy they got to fix it was not a Ford rep. but
a sub-contractor that fixes these problems. He believes it was a seam problem, and is going to get me the guys
phone number, and I will pass the info to my dealer.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Island Stang,
Please post any info you get to this thread - I'm guessing there's more than a few of us with this problem!

Thanks
