UAW assembly line workers drop hardware all the time.
They rarely look for it.
Its faster to just pretend it didnt happen and get another fastner.
I have found all sorts of 'extra' hardware in my S197 stang.

I had an interior rattle/squeak the other day... I'm riding with my coworker swearing it's coming from his side, he's swearing it's coming from my side or the console... it was my security badge rattling in the cup holder hahaha. I almost got into a wreck trying to find that f-in noise!

I have a slight raddle over bumps on that side too...doesn't bother me...its gonna be nearly impossible to find it

I have recently purchased a 2007 mustang gt with 12,000 miles on the car and I am hearing a similar rattle like you are describing it is almost like something is coming from the passenger front shock strut boot maybe any ideas did they fix yours?
