Twin Screw or centrifugal supercharger
#2
The only "centrifugal" supercharger to ever get would be the $3000 nonintercooled kit... because of the price.
Otherwise you're a thousand billion times better off with a Hellion Turbo. It sounds just like a centri with an internal waste gate mounted but makes more horsepower and is only $500 more expensive. The Hellion turbo is the only one sold by Brenspeed because it's the most reliable and well made kit.
Otherwise with a twin screw the trade off is below 3500 RPM you make 20% more power which is a big difference.
here's a comparison, black = centri, yellow = twin screw red = turbo
Choosing a supercharger based on sound is personal preference, but the twin screw variety will make sound all the time when you're driving it and a turbo/centri will make their sound when you spool it. Also most twin screws sound similar while most centris or turbos sound different based on how they are built (location of the blower type of blow off valve varies a lot while with a TS it's always in one place).
A centri or turbo will be louder if you put a trumpeted or tuned BOV on it, but those are illegal in many places with a fine, probably where you live.
Oh yeah, use the search button bro it does wonders.

There's a lot of reasons to go with any of them..
Centri is inexpensive for non-intercooled basic kit, drives similar to turbo with boost kicking in around 3500 rpm and building more boost with RPM. Intercooled centris are great for power and reliability, but the cost is similar to an equivalent twin screw..
Twin screw and Roots (positive displacement) make power pretty much from 2k, roots tends to build more boost as RPM increases where twin screw is solid at whatever boost it is set up for. Roots is not as efficient as twin screw, and usually limited to less potential boost. Either positive displacement setup will find you in the midrange of FI kits. These type of FI setups are most common on the S197.
Turbo is great, if you have lots of money and like lots of tubes running all over the place in your engine compartment. Most expensive of the options, and usually the most finicky for the tune. Heavily reliant on the waste gates and blow off.. if waste gate malfunctions, kiss your engine goodbye. Turbo is by far most efficient, has least amount of parasitic power loss (almost none), so you can make the most power on a stock block and stay "safe".
At 10 psi, most turbo kits net you well over 500 rwhp, whereas a twin screw will get you around 500 rwhp at that boost (possibly less depending on conditions). An intercooled Centri running 10 psi will usually make about the same power as a twin screw, although only on the top end (you won't get 10 psi until you approach red line). 10 psi is pretty much the limit for the stock engine. Go more and you are on borrowed time.
Non IC Centri = ~$3800
Non IC Positive Displacement = ~$4500+
IC Centri = ~$5500+
IC Positive Displacement = $5500-7500
Turbo = ~$6500-10k
They all drive different, and opinions vary on which is "best".

I won't bother to weigh in too much if you've already decided. As dkersten said, the turbos make great power but are by the far the sketchiest setups. If you have money to burn and a blown engine won't make you blink, it would be a great option. Good luck with the Saleen!

thanks everyone. guess the saleen will have to do. my choices in my price range were a 100shot complete kit tuned etc. for about 2k installed or this saleen supercharger which has everything but the 39lb injectors and an extra i have to buy since mine is a 07 and the kit is for a 06. gonna cost about 3500 after all extra are bought, install,, tune, and tuner
