According to the last post, my sincere apologies for being 4 years late to this open discussion...I gave it some thought tonight:
(These suggestions are ENTIRELY based on 6 character/alphanumeric & numeric only/New York State Vanity Plates that model a NY based-team from MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, or NY Organizations, Special Causes, & Veterans.)
Feel free to tweak based on using traditional 8 character License Plates:
actually, we have the option of 7 digits now.... They give us that option every once in a while and if you go to the Texas plates website, you will see it's currently available until the end of today. http://myplates.com
