Acdelco bulb/socket worked. Not quite as bright as the stockee though...the Acdelco bulb/socket is a little shorter.

Default Found LED replacement

I know this is an old post, but its relevant and I'm sure many people use it as a guide to fix this issue, so I thought I'd up date it.

Found a LED based bulb and as of Jan 2016 its only $2.40 shipped for two of them, this includes the LED and Neowedge base.

The other option is a pre-wired SMD LED.

That is funny. I ran across the site a couple weeks ago and just got in the bulbs today. They are quite brite. I went with the t3 for the size. I will pull the switch this week and make sure that is the correct size. The new bulbs match the GM bulbs I pulled the other day from a Buick digital cluster I pieced out. These were in great shape (3), so i'll have those in reserve, if these new bulbs mess up. The maximum length of these isn't as deep as the factory bulbs, but I'm hoping that with the strong power of the LED, will give off enough power to light the emblem significantly.

Great find for not too much money. Thumbs up to you.

You can see my post on page #6. I got bulbs from an online site called Bulbster. The bulb # is 7219. Put this one in 5 years ago or so and it is still working.
