Advice on stripes
#12
I've got silver on mine (see sig) because I have the black and silver leather interior that came on the 07 GT/CS's. I was really considering red and yellow, but ultimately went silver because I thought the car wanted silver to match. Now after a 3 month tour with my car on a Navy dock exposed to the elements, the stripes are showing age past their years, and I will probably be replacing them with red.

Mine cost $1500. Stripes from front to back with pin stripes on outside. Clear coated the top surface and not the bumpers. If you get a scratch or ding on your bumper and it's clear coated, you have to paint and re-clear the entire bumper. Without clear coat, paint can be blended in depending on the circumstances.
Whomever paints it, I would ask them for examples of other cars they have put stipes on. Someone who has done stipes before will know little tricks to make it look nicer. If you want a 10" stripe in the front, done properly it won't be 10" on top. The curves of the car make the stripes get larger or smaller. The stripe actually gets drawn from the center of the car and out to the ends.
I vote a dark red metallic/pearl. Driving by your car will have a beautiful red color that shimmers in the sunlight. Up close you will see the flake and a slight color shift, giving the paint a deeper look.

Red looks great. With that color interior would look awesome. I really like gold too (not with a red interior though )
Go with stickers. They're dirt cheap, and if you don't like it, just peal it off. If you do like it, you can do paint down the road.
I had great luck with RockyMountainGraphics. Pre-cut and fits great, don't even have to yank the washer nozzels ( I did, but you don't have to)
I'm an old guy, so I went matte black. Subtle. I'd rather done gold, but just too old for it.
