Default LED fog light conversion

What all is involved in converting the fog lights to LED like the headlights? I want my fog lights to project the same bright white light as the headlights. Anyone done this?

I think you are confusing LED lights with HID. LED = Light Emitting Diode, HID = High Intensity Discharge. Ford does not make LED headlights, they make HID headlights for the Mustang which were standard on the 2013 model year.

On to your question. You could buy either LED or HID for your fog lights. LED would be the cheaper route, and would probably solve your problem to get a matching color of light. You can buy an LED bulb on a website like this:

http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/

If you want to match the color AND brightness/intensity of the headlights, then you will want to go HID. HID lights aren't terribly difficult to install, and there are HID kits made specifically for the 2010-2013. These kits are far more expensive than just replacing the bulb, ~$200-$300 depending on the brand and who installs them. Maybe someone can help you out with a reputable company because I have no experience with aftermarket HID kits. Local car audio and alarm shops usually carry them and will install them. That is the route I would go if buying HID.

If you want HID's go to ddmtuning; they have an online store, luckily for me in Cali they had a local store. I just went, asked, and picked em up for $32 with a life time warranty. I'm very happy with them. I got yellow fogs for better visibility. I was leaning more towards white at first, due to the fact that they would match, but then realized its pointless for visibility. When i run with just my white hid headlights, the road looks a little deceptive as far as bumps, rocks, dips, etc, goes. I couldn't be any happier with the yellows. I turn them on and they light up the roads flaws. But get what you prefer.
