Default How to replace parking brake boot cover? 2011 GT

My 2011 Mustang GT has a slight tear/scratch on the vinyl/leather looking parking break boot. How do I go about replacing this?

Does the center console finish piece need to be removed or will the boot pop out? It looks to be held on by clips from what I've seen online.

Thanks!

easiest way is take it in and have it done under warranty, here's a PDF file showing what you have to do out of the shop manual.

Thank you sir, I'm a little leary of taking my car back into the dealership. They may fix one thing but scratch/tear another thing. My faith in dealerships are very very low.

if you want to do it yourself that parking boot is dead easy, the shift boot is more difficult though. i replaced my shift boot and parking boot with redlinegoods custom ones. The parking boot you have to remove the back portion of the center console.,

i recall there are two screws keeping the console in, remove them, pop the center console out and the shift boot has a plastic ring that clips in to hold it down. pop that lose and then you can work it over the handle. Not really hard at all.

EDIT: get a new sig pic man! an 11 is exactly like my 10, no screws open the rear console, pull it up the 10-11 cars have no screws, the black ring around the rear is right there, just pull it out and over the handle. If you use redline goods replacements you will need those plastic rings and you will have to remove the old shift boots from the rings.
