Default Hood Scoop

I am new here. I also have a new 2011 mustang. This is my last car so I want to get what I want.

I would like to have a hood scoop. I like the size and shape of the Ford one for the 2011 car. However I do not want to drill any holes to fasten it on.

Question is, will the tape keep it on? Is this a safe method? Is there another/better way.

I have other things I want to do if have the time and keep going. So if you can help with the scoop mounting I would appreciate it. Thanks.

By the by, I also have a 65 Fastback in the garage.

I have one on my '11 GT/CS. I asked about no drilling and the dealer said they would not trust any tape without the bolts holding it. I see no problem with drilling unless you plan on removing it for some reason. (one of these days I must get a new sig. pic.)

I still think I would like a hood scoop on my 2011. I have looked all around on the net and there are few specifically for the 2011.

Has anyone used one listed for the 2009 and put it on the 11?

I like the looks of the one from 3D Carbon. It says it is about 1 1/2 inche tall at the front. I like the low profile. And I like the way it slopes down to nearly nothing at the back.

I appreciate your advice and opinions. Thanks

Well, you could purchase a new hood with a hood scoop built into it. Advantage to that would be if you want to change the looks, you could simply put your stock hood back on.
