I say that too! There was so much more in this thread, I actually forgot the metallurgy vs meteorology thing...STUPID SPELL CHECK!

Fortunately, as far as metallurgy goes, apparently, the safety factor of the materials design for the lower end of the block is rather robust which allows the Coyote to sustain low boosts and still make great power increases without compromising reliability.

Higher boosts on those stock parts and very high compression ratio? That is when that robust safety factor actually becomes breached when boosted too hard.

The bottom line with the Coyote is that if you want to make a lot of HP under boost you have to pull the motor apart and install 10.0:1 CR pistons or lower and while your in there install forged internals....why not?

For us average street guys the motor is fine....install a blower at low safe boost and run 11s and maybe an occasional high 10 SAFELY without worrying about blowing the motor. We see a lot of videos claiming all sorts of "stock" mustangs in the 10s....pure and simple B.S. These cars are weight reduced, Tuned unsafely beyond reason and by a bunch of exagerators trying to sell parts. You could chance it by installing that race tune for the track only but, I don't think it's worth the risk. To do it correct, disassemble the 5.0 and sturdy up the bottom end or race it to it blows and then sturdy it up...either way it needs to be done....in my opinion.

I love how the last post on that link was dated 11-2010. Also in all this time the guy never responded back on what happened. Possible troll?
