It is normal for a build to take a long time, even beyond the time frame they quote.
The car I bought last year I think was scheduled to be a Q1 or Q2 build. It was custom ordered in Q1 or Q2, but was not manufactured at the factory until mid to late July.
The guy who ordered it gave up and called the dealer to drop his name from this VIN and he went and bought an '11 GT off the lot from somewhere else.
I on the other hand simply walked into the dealer and gave the spec and this abandoned order fit what I wanted exactly. So, within a couple of weeks (just loading and shipping), I got my car brand new off the truck with only 4 miles on the ODO.
