Pretty much the same process I follow.

This is what I do, along with the wheels under the car if possible. I highly recommend the ramps under the back wheels as well. I try to create as many backups as possible, and it still kind of scares me. Lifts I can deal with, jack stands kinda scare me.

Also always keep a phone within reaching distance.

Edit, actually just realized. I put the ramps under whatever wheels I'm working closer towards. Feel safer that way.

I did the 4 jack stands at once, its not bad at all. Just make sure you have the 100% level ground. If you have ramps as well put the ramps under the wheels as well. Esp if you live in earthquake prone area's. You can never be to safe!

I actually made these ramps to be able to get the car up without a jack or stands. I also made some block wood stands for the rears. I just jack the pumpkin and slide them under the wheels. They are built from 4 pieces of 2x12 wood 20`long all hammered together. Nothing feels safer than having solid wood between the tires and the floor.

^Nicely done. I bought some thick plastic ramps that I love that i use under the front wheels but i have to jack my car up to put them under because the front is to low so the bumper pushes them away when i try driving onto them lol

But it's a nice feeling having something solid under the wheels with the jacks

I found a set of extra long rhino ramps that clear the front bumper (and my bumper is about an inch lower than stock).

When wanting to jack the front I drive up on 2x6 pieces of wood. Then I can get the jack under my splitter .
