Sylvania Silverstar Ultra for 2007 Mustang V^ convertible
Does any one know if using these bulbs will burn up and melt the headlights wiring harness. I have heard that the wattage for these bulbs are 55W for low beams and 65W for highbeams and our standard bulbs are 50W for low beams and 60W for high beams. Thanks everyone for any help

Never heard of SilverStars melting a harness.
But, I've had them in an older car before and they didn't last too long. Maybe 6 months? I know some folks are running them on here. They seem to be having better luck than I did.

I've had the Silver Stars for 2 years but it's not a DD. I compared the SS to the stock bulbs when I put the first one in and thought the SS was about 25% brighter. Definitely a whiter light than stock. I can't vouch for the Ultras though.

Back in '07 or '08 when I put the standard Silver Stars in my Stang, they didn't make the Ultras in our bulb style. Are they making them now? I'll have to check it out.
The SS's and Ultras are the same wattage as the OE bulbs. You'll have no problems.
