I only payed $24 but the prices for the actuators vary from there up to $60 depending on which one you need to replace. glad to hear it's fixed, the clicking drove me NUTS!

If you know the problem, then it doesn't bother you. :P I had this problem for a years till a customer decided to change all of his actuators and then I just pretty much used the one that I need. So free is good. :P
Defrost and floor actuators fail all the time, don't be surprise. :P

Can get it from rockauto, tousleyfordparts.com, etc..1 of them is in a hard place to get at it, but can still be done.

Default Bad Actuator

same thing happened to me and my 2010 ford mustang. loud clicking under the dash when I start the car. It must be the actuator...

Was the actuator your talking about to the upper left side after you took down the glove box? because I did the same thing and it look like two silver nuts on a black box with a whit looking plastic arm ?
I wanted to take it out myself but wasnt sure if I should disconnect the battery first not only that but if I was taking on the right part.
