Default 2006 mustang gt axle backs vs no mufflers

i currently have mac mufflers on my car but have been thinking about just takeing them off will this have any negative effects? idk if back pressure would be an issue without them. all help is appreciated thanks alot

Take them off and try it. I think it will sound like sh*t though. Macs sounds good. If your looking for more volume, get some longtubes or an offroad midpipe.

i had no mufflers for a long time and it does not sound bad at all. in fact to me it sounded only a little bit louder than stock. however its nothing impressive the tone was pretty much the same, i noticed no difference in performance good or bad.

Keep the mufflers. Muffler delete on these 4.6's sounds like straight crap. It's a fairly small(ish) V8 engine, not some rumbling big block.

Agreed. Just save up for some straight thru mufflers or single chamber.

The stock axle backs have little backpressure considering.... It wouldn't hurt to try it and see what you think and if you like it, get a shop to make you some pipes.
