V1's are around $1500
V3's are around $2200

Apparently, Roush buys the V2's and puts their own name on them, so essentially you can get the V2's for somewhere in the middle.

Sick looking setup!

Did you take a look at the Bilstein HD coilovers as well? I'm in the process of narrowing down a coilover kit, and rust resistance is pretty important here in upstate NY. Now I'm wondering about each kit's corrosion resistance, as I was leaning pretty heavily with the Bilsteins.

To my knowledge Bilstein uses aluminium threaded body, where KW is full stainless steel kit, all parts.

I did a lot of research in regards to corrosion and rust, although aluminum does not rust, it does corrode, heavily through salt application and other contaminants.

I also ended up crusing a lot of VW/JDM forums and found people who had taken their KWs out after 3-5 years (Winter use), cleaned em off and they looked as good as new.

This was the big selling point for me, I needed the product to last through the winter with little or no maint. (I will be rust proofing and re-lubricating them everytime I swap from Summer -> Winters and Winters -> Summers.

What sort of rust proofing and re-lubrication are you planning?

I get my car rust proofed every year here, we sometimes have some brutal winters and a hell of a lot more salt application.

I take it to Krown to rust proof the full vehicle. As for lubrication, just anually regreasing the coils to prevent seizing.

I know what you're talking about now, my gf has the same thing done to her car every year (At first I was thinking you clear coated just the suspension parts or something). Pretty nasty stuff they spray under there, but the shop never puts it on the shocks/structs/springs that I know of.

Salt is terrible here too, usually on the road from October thru April consistently.

Thanks for the info.
