The mustang only has the VIN by the driver side window near the dash and on the driver side door jam (there is a sticker).
I don't know what kind of paperwork you have and history on this car, starting from originating in the US. I don't think any of us can tell you whether to keep it or not.
Have you asked the dealer any questions about this? Was it a trade-in at that dealership? If it was, perhaps they can contact the seller and ask. Then see if it sounds legit.
P.S. if that door jam sticker is not there, that is a bad sign. Either it was in an accident or it was intentionally removed. The sticker will be destroyed upon trying to remove it (built in security of sorts).

the sticker is there perfectly.
ok after some googling it seems a stang needs to have a number etched into the chassis for them to take a rubbing of to get it registered...this must be the reason..
have all the paper work from the us dude...every single recipt since it was new...the window vin number is all perfect and in tact
