Speed Limiter
#21
The V8 has stronger components than the V6, that's what the extra $10K USD gets you. the V8 version is similar to your holden, just an ecu tune and it will hold together up to the limits of the engine, but even it won't get up to speeds you reference for the holden, for that you need the 5.8L GT500... unless you do some heavy duty modifications and run around 18+ LBS of boost on the 5.0.

I had my old 2011 mustang hit 150 mph more than once and that was in 4th gear,it has 6 gears.
berryracer you did not answer me,do you have a tune and if so from who?

Faster does NOT mean better. As you get older, you will begin to understand that (I hope)
You are still comparing a V-8 product that was built for the european/asian market vs. a V-6 built for the U.S. market.

no man what tune my car has only done 1000 miles so far and I don't want to void my 5 year warranty

sorry to say but without a tune a 2013 v6 (3.7L) can not do 220km.
I have a 2013 with a tune, they now come with a speed limiter on them because of the drive shaft. I can do 200KM+- or 125mph+-.
If you get a new upgraded drive shaft they will up your speed limit.

A tune won't void your warranty*. An aftermarket driveshaft won't void your warranty*. NOTHING aftermarket will void your warranty*. If an aftermarket item is the direct cause of a failure/problem, then they can void the warranty for THAT work only.
