She's back home!

Thank you all! Yes I'm glad the whole ordeal is over with. I hate dealing with insurance but this was by far the most u responsive insurance company I've ever dealt with during my short 22 year existence. I forgot how much I loved driving or hear it fire up. It was pretty tortuous. I never thought I'd miss a jumble of plastic, rubber, and metal so much.
Sounds like I may have to look into bigger exhaust tips. I've never researched this before so I wonder where the heck to order 'em haha

Wade you have an awesome looking car. I have always admired what you have done and now its even better. The new rear end is so tight.
I am amazed that retailer admitted they caused the issue and you got it all paid for. That is usually not the case.

Well thank you that means a lot coming from you, 808. Yea I suppose it doesn't but I think it helped that I took a picture of my odometer right before dropping it off and the fact that we documented every conversation and collected and analyzed everything that fell out of the engine bay. We also nagged the insurance company and called supervisors and threatened lawyer intervention. A little of everything!

Why thank you sir. I have no idea haha. I purchased them straight from te local muffler shop and intend to do the same again. Found out today that I need to have my pipe work redone from the back wheels back in order to life the cans so I didn't have the time for that today. So, I'll be doing this on an upcoming Saturday

Looks great, I would just have a exhaust shop add a pair of these and re position the mufflers.

Nope, nothing new here. Here's the issue with my exhaust though: Since I have everything welded from the shorties back, it's not as simple as an angle adjustment. If I did such, the pipes would be right next to the fuel tanks and could cause one helluva rattle. The pipes need to be cut from the rear axle back and new piping bent and welded in. I'll probably grab 3" or 4" tips depending on what looks good at the time, but the shop has the same style I have on now in stock. I just haven't gotten around to it yet as I value my sleep on the weekends since I get so little during the week.
Other than that, no news. Car is running like a champ at 85k miles (knock on wood)

Man, I remember feeling so bad for you when this happened.
I wrecked my GT since that thread got posted and I think I still had it easier. I mean, I knew I'd totaled it, but I had closure, there, on the spot.
Yours just drug on. Good to see you got it back and in better shape than before.
