Default Convertible too decision

I recently traded up to a gt red fire with tan interior and a tan top. My Internal debate is do I spend the 600 to the uy a new black top or keep the tan top.

With the black top I can add smoked lights, black out panel, and stripes. While keeping it a nice flowing car

Or I can keep the 600 for performance mods and idk what about the exterior. I have yet to see any pictures of a tan top red fire with any exterior mods...

I don't know where you're getting $600 for a new top, first off.

I had to have mine replaced, and OEM parts came to ~$1500...

If you have a tan interior then keep the tan top.

I can see keeping the top and the interior so they match, but man I much prefer the look of a black top.

I agree with the black looking nicer but I'm also in Texas where when it's hot its hot and when it's cold its still fn hot lol.

I'm afraid the black would fade. I does anyone know of a modified tan top red fire that I can see.

I got a redfire gt vert with a tan top last week. I actually really like it. It's grown on me. Now, I would definitely consider top color if/when its time to replace it or it gets slashed.

My current black/tan dilemma is getting a tan styling bar. Can't seem to find one. But the price of a top makes me think twice about getting one just for looks.

Keep the tan top. I felt the same as you did when I bought my '06 legend lime gt last summer but then came the constant compliments on the tan top going so well with the tan interior. Not many have your color combo so that alone is reason enough to keep it.

It's settled then I'm keeping the tan top. Instalation is too high to justify the new top. And I want see if I can't come out with tan stripes of a sort to compliment the top

JFitz, you just have to search the vendors for a tan (actually camel) bar. CJ Pony has one. The pics show black, but if you hit the option bar it will bring up different colors. Google up MRT Mustang parts. They have a solid color camel bar and a wild looking two-tone bar with different color choices. Stuff's out there.

Rshustler, I have an o7 Redfire GT/CS vert with a black top, but black/parchment interior. I wish it had the tan/camel cloth top instead of the black.Another member of my local club has one and I think it looks great. Again tho, its all in the eyes of the beholder.
