Hand Brake

Hand Brake
Hey guys I got a problem with my hand brake and I was hoping someone could give me some good tips on how to fix it or what to check. I bought my 05 gt used and I don't know if the previous owner abused the car or what but, sometimes when I pull the hand brake up the car still tends to roll back a bit. Now, I've already tried tightening the adjustment nut located in the center console behind the hand brake but, all that seems to do is make the lever stiffer and harder to pull up. Does anyone know what else I can check or do??
Thanks

Im not sure about the mustang, but you can try putting the parking brake on tight, and then put it in reverse and back up 15 feet. This is the built in way to tighten most hand brakes. If this does not work, then you will probably have to adjust it at the wheel. Let me know if this works.

Some have cars had problems with corrosion in winter areas. The cables would get wet, freeze over night, and the moisture never really dried out for some time due to weather. The corrosion would cause the cables to bind. The old fix from Ford was new cables that had better weather protection. Yours could have this leftover issue.
