Default O/R X that I can easily add cats to for the 5.0?

I want THIS for a 5.0. I had a long post typed up describing the idea I had in my head, then found this for the 4.6. Basically I failed at trying to put an X pipe on my 06 when I had it and don't want to fight it again on the 5.0. I need cats for inspection every other year, but want the power of o/r the rest of the time and WILL NOT fight that battle every two years.

Anything out there? Can I have something custom made, or will there be clearance problems since the stock cats are right up by the manifolds now?

I Purchased the Pypes O/R X-pipe HERE, The Cat deletes are mailed in the same box but not welded, you have to clamp them on, and it WILL fit up to the stock cats if you just want to replace the H-pipe for inspections.

Magnaflow also has their Tru-X Xpipe with Cats now, Its expensive as hell, but looks nice.

Hope this helps!

Problem is the cats are right up on the down pipes, so that's the hard part to change. If I could move the cats, either stock or aftermarket, down onto the H, I think I could change the aftermarket X for the H pretty easily while leaving the down pipes in place.

True, I wonder if a shorty x pipe with cars could be bolted up to cat delete down pipes

I'm thinking it's going to have to be a custom job. It'd be expensive and a pain in the ***, but maybe buy two of these kits and have some cats added into one of the X pipes. I just wonder if there'd be problems with clearance, especially with a car lowered almost 2".

Hmm thats a good question, I'm getting close to clearance issues with stock ride height and my x-pipe, but I also live in Hawaii with a Million potholes everywhere.
