Default Hood problems..

Hey all, I have a 2012 GT with the stock hood and I'm looking to upgrade it. Of course, the hood that I REALLY REALLY want is only for 13-14 GT's and 10-12 GT500's. Of course. Anyway I don't see anything that impresses me for 10's to 12's. Can anyone recommend a site that I haven't already checked? I've done Americanmuscle, Latemodelrestoration, trufiber, etc. etc. but they all kind of just look the same and aren't worth spending the money. Is there a way to make a 2013 hood work without paying an arm, leg, and my first born son?

I thought a 2013 hood would just bolt on?

If he had a 2011-2014 gt500 it would just bolt-on since the 2013/2014 mustangs have the same fascia as the 2011-2014 gt500s, buthte 2011-2012 mustangs have a different fascia, so the hood won't look right without changing to a 2013-2014 or 2011+ fascia.

Yeah I was really just wondering what changing to the new fascia style would entail...Just a new grille and hood? Or is the whole bumper different? I've looked around and it SEEMS like everything has to be changed. Which is a no-go. But the reason I asked is because I'll see one forum where people are even saying the FENDERS have to be changed, and then literally the next forum link will say only the grill needs to be swapped. I dunno. At this point I'm wondering if I couldn't just grab the parts from my buddy's '12 Shelby as he upgrades his and doesn't use the stock ones.

The Current front Fascia you have is actually the sexier looking one. The Hog nosed one on the later Models does not really distinguish one model from the next.

Whereas yours currently does. There are plenty of functional hoods to fit your model year with the heat extractors as well.

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't see any hoods on our site that really catch your eye. What type of hood are you looking for? We can do our best to assist you and we're always looking for new product suggestions.

I currently run the 3" Cowl hood from Trufiber on my 2011 GT. I absolutely love it! The fitment is great, the cowl isn't all that big and it really looks aggressive.

Here is a picture of my car if you would like to check it out!

I look forward to speaking with you.

Thanks, never had any complaints with AM. I guess I'm just picky when it comes to the exterior stuff. This is the hood that I want:

Basically, the closest thing I could find to that for my car was the Cervini ram style hood. But I want the vents! Call it trivial, but for that money I want it to be perfect. I'm sure everyone here can relate.
