How hard is a gear install?

I believe brenspeed installed mine for around 500 but to me it was worth it. Hell they are in my back yard so if there was a problem then they would have taken care of it. If your capable then by all means do it. Just be exact in your measurements and good luck

Exact in your measurements . . . and patient, and willing to re-shim and re-measure as many times as it takes.
gmoran - I'm surprised that you don't do your own alignments if you're considering DIY'ing gears. Once you can do the measuring, the rest is mostly just moving things a little and doing a little basic wrench-work.
