motor oil

i would say yes, change back on your next oil change if you don't want to drop the money to change it out now. It would be much worse if you were running half and half, or 2/3 on the oils. But since he drianed it and changed the filter, you should be fine for the time being

Its not going to do any damage or make any difference, espcially for just a single oil change.

I am a big fan of synthetics, but its not going to damage the motor or cause problems to run a non synthetic oil.

Yeah he was just trying to help you out, not to mention rock a Mustang to school. At least he didn't do what this kid did back when I was in auto shop in high school. The kid had his parents SUV in and forgot to put the new oil in. He drained the old oil, put the drain plug and the filter on but not the new oil. He let it run for a little to check the level and the motor fried.

Man...nothing to worry about.

You didn't hurt anything, the no switching back synthetic thing is just a bullcrap rumor. It's perfectly fine. If anything, he helped you out a little bit...

Just change back to what you were using before. No big deal.
