block horse power question

Default block horse power question

i am about to get going on my 408 stroker and have been trying to do as much reading around as i can. i have a block out of a 95 bronco and from what i have read it should be good up to around 600-650 hp but my question is is this using the stock main caps or not? i am about to take my block to the machine shop and it is going to get everything done to it but befor they line bore it i need to know if i need stronger after market main caps.

IF you get a line bore done you might aswell go 4bolt main or atleast upgrade the stock caps shouldnt cost any more to do it!

You dont need a line bore unless you spun a main or doing an upgrade!
