Default 2008 V6 Radio turns on when the car is off.

I'm really hoping this is a common problem that can be solved very easily. It seldom is when dealing with electrical BS, but I'm taking a chance and asking you guys here first before I tear into anything else. There is also an issue with the wiper blade speed control, fast works fine, intermittent is shotty. on 4 it works, on any other setting (1,2,3,5) it will wipe once and then stop. I'm guessing the 2 are related? If anyone has any advice please share, thanks.

Is it a shaker sound system? Seems to be pretty common around here with that sound system.

It is NOT the shaker sound system. Now the radio problem has subsided, but the wipers will not turn off. Does anyone know the exact location of the relay for the wipers?

Wow... that's odd for sure. Maybe it's becoming self aware....

Kidding aside, I have not a clue but let's hope someone can chime in.

the radio symptom subsided but the wipers are still an issue. I have disconnected the switch and the switch has no effect on the issue, so I can say that it's not a faulty switch. Next step is testing the wiper motor itself, any suggestions on how to do that ?

Wow.... bizarre behavior for sure. Have you disconnected the battery and let her sit for an hour or so before re-connecting it? It's an outside shot.... but it is one way to eliminate and and all "rogue" electrons.....

Electrical gremlins, especially multiple issues, are often related to the water leak. Go read the TSB for the leak and let's hope it's not your SJB's connections starting to corrode.

Yeah you got water leaks the 08's had a lot of leaking issues. Feel the carpet on your driver and passenger side after it rains. They will most likely be wet. May have to take it into the dealership so they can go though it work out the electrical issues from the water damage and they can seal it up so it won't leak anymore. Longer it's put off the worse its going to get and the more its going to cost to have fixed.

Although it SOUNDS like it could be the water leak issue, let's not jump to that conclusion until other possibilities are ruled out (while the OP waits for more rain).

Try looking over the wiring diagrams and see if there's any connection between your gremlins. As much as I hope it's NOT the SJB getting wet, it does sound like it's the better of the possibilities. http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=1
