Installing Redline D4 ATF Through The Shifter
Hey Guys,
This weekend I will be installing my Pro 5.0 and and will change the fluid at the same time (Redline D4). I would like to know if I can fill the trans through the shifter instead of the fill hole? Your help is always appreciated. I will be going with the 3.2 quarts in hopes of correcting my 1st and 2nd gear crunch.
Thanks,
Dave

RE: Installing Redline D4 ATF Through The Shifter
i just changed my trans fluid about a month ago because my gears were starting to get a bit rough and all i did was jack the car up... undo a lil screw and drain it and then get a hand pump, i used 1 part thick grind stop fluid and i think almost 3 quarts ATF and it wasnt hard at all. the thick grind stop fluid was hard to pump through but i just mixed it with the ATF and it went in easy. it really isnt hard, i know my car is a 98 and you have an 01 but the job isnt hard i would just stick with the old fashion way... and another thing if you have an 01 i dont think you should already be changing your trans fluid, it seems kind of soon to me...
