Need Help / Ideas?
I have 98 Mustang GT. I got underdrive pulleys, Catback exhaust, Fuel Injection Performance Kit (FIPK) with K/N filter, 70mm Throttle body, Ford Racing chip, Pro 5.0 shifter, Eibach springs and Subframe Connectors, JBA Cat4wardHeaders and 3.73 gears on her. I plan on adding an MSD Ignition in a few weeks. I recently raced it before i added the gears and headers and only averaged 10.1@70MPR on 1/8 of a mile track. What else can i add to improve performance / HorsePower and my time at the track? I eventually want to add NOS or a supercharger but i want try more Bolt on's before i go that route. Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Not having PI heads is killing you. Slap on a set of PIs and you should be in great shape for a supercharger/n2o in the future. What all did the FIPK come with? I am unfamilar with this product. If it didnt have a inlet pipe, upper plenum, or mam replace these as well.
BTW, how do you like the subframe connectors? I have been thinking of getting them for my car, but am unsure if it's worth the trouble.

Your 1/8 time seems kind of slow. I imagine you would be running in the high 14's with your set-up putting you 1/8 times around 9.7. What are you 60's? R u having touble getting out of the hole?
And yes PI's would be the next place to go.

Sorry to ask such a dumb question but I cant figure out what N/A and PI heads stand for. Someone please explain and everyone please forgive my ignorance.

Not sure what PI stands for. 94-98 Mustangs have NPI heads and 99+ have PI heads. The PI heads are much better because they arent made out of cheap plastic like the NPI heads are.

PI stands for Performance Improved. It's not really a matter of plastic. The PI heads have re-designed air intake ports to allow better/more air flow. The PI heads on the 99+ models are basically why the HP jumped from 225 to 260 from 98 to 99 models.

RE: Need Help / Ideas?
Hey. I have my mods listed below. And i went to a local strip with silverGT a local guy. And i made the 1/8 mile about the same as you. With a 1/4 time of about 15.2. Im going again, with DOT slicks and see what i can get. Because like someone said before, its a matter of getting out of the hole. I know i can be in the high 14's before next month. Then im getting underdrive pulleys and upper intake, MAF, and throttle body
