If I buy the 275s for the front and 315s for the rear, tirerack.com quoted me $437.31 including shipping. By contrast, if I buy the OEM gators, they will cost me over $600. Of course, with the sumitomos, I'll need new rims. Anyone know how to talk a wife into new rims?[&:]

The HTRZ II's don't come any larger than 285 (for an 18" rim) -- I believe only the regular HTR's come in a 315, which the tread pattern isn't quite as aggressive, but the life is about 2x as much.

I've got HTRZ II's ... The tires are great for the money, but the tread life leaves a little to be desired. They are comparable to the stock gatorbacks in terms of treadlife, but not the best i've seen/had. It really depends on the application as to whether they are the best bang for the buck. If your looking to replace your stock tires with the same size, go with a BFG G-force Sport - if your going up in size (265-285ish), the HTRZ II's are hard to beat.
what about 315s? since i cant rotate my tires are they gonna last a while?

I have HTRZ II's and they are great for what they do. I have 275's all around so I can rotate and I will get at least 30k out of them before it is over. The tires are better in the rain than I thought they would be. I don't get any snow but they will not work for you in the snow at all. They are a very hard tire. They are a little on the loud side and they do not hook at all on the strip. If you are looking for a cheap tire that looks pretty nice on the car and will get you a lot of miles then they are perfect. If you need a tire to hook up with at the strip then you need to look elsewhere.

Alright when i bought my dd's for my car i have 315 35 17 on my rear and i do say they are AWESOME their treadlife is good in the rain due to surface area i am kinda sketchy i take it easy. But traction is pretty damn good. but for a pinch for tires on my new rims before inspection i am not upset yet but i plan on upgrading next run through tires.
