not sure if the cams are the same, but they will work just the same of course. they are on PI heads.

I would assume that because the crown vic makes so much less horsepower that the cams would in fact be different, thats my reasoning - Im sure you could find cam specs somewhere

No doubt. If your going to go to the trouble to swap to PI heads, you might as well save up another grand or so and throw some better cams in there. Several companys make kits.

I think for like 1300 you can get head work done to PI heads and new cams from power heads. Supposed to be good for like 50 HP more than a stock PI GT

I dont think so.

The "police interceptors" are all bull****. At most the only difference is a improved chip that doesnt have the speed limiter.

My uncle is a state police officer. He told me the max speed the crown vics will do is 128 (limited) and the auto mustang GT they have in ST. Louis is set at 132. There is absolutly no aftermarket parts on either the vic or the GT in IL. (just a reburned chip)

I remeber motor trend made a big deal a few years ago about testing a "interceptor" vs a stock vic. The stock vic acutally was faster and more agile because of the heavyer suspesion package they put on the police cars, so they can take more damage and push other cars around easyer.
