Default Drag radials-how low can you go?

Big race tommorow nite and would really like to perform, weather is supposed to be good for a change. How low can I take the air pressure in the BFG drag radials before they spin on the rim? I have gone to 16 PSI but have heard some guys do go lower, does this affect top trap speed alot?

if you go to low, it will hurt you in the long run. your 60 footer will be better, but once your up and moving, it will slow you down.

Go as low as you can as long as your tires dont spin on your rim or the sidewalls cup. I've heard of 12 psi on BFG's and 15 psi on Nittos. I go 16 on my Nitto's, never tried lower.

I went from a mid 2.1 to a mid 1.9 dropping from 30psi to 16psi, lost 1 mph but got 3 tenths faster.

I finally found out how to get good traction on my Daytons. I let the pressure down to about 20psi, get to the line and do a power break from hell, then roll off the line at about 2000rpm. I got a 2.1 in my 60 ft, where before I was at like 2.3 to 2.5. I could never get traction till now.

2.1 is not considered good traction- you are losing alot on your 1/4 et taking that long to get to 60 foot.
