ya haha. I didn't realize i was litterally looking for something for the ratchet to go into. I was trying to use a socket and couldn't find anything. I did it though. Now I can't feel my fingers cause it is so cold out.

I was up hunting and had to do an alternator on my brothers Dodge 1500 in 10 degree weather. I feel your pain. At least we had angled the truck so the wind wasn't hitting me it hit the hood instead.

Ya, the wind wasn't bad. It was just plain old cold out. I took my alternator out at about 7:30 this morning before I left to go get my other one. Then I came back and put the other one in and it was still freezing. But I am happy, my car is running right again.

I put my collision coverage back on for about a week so that I could drive it. I had taken it off for winter, but we haven't had snow so I just said **** it I am going to drive it for the week.

You had to use the tensioner to get the belt off. And it's not a 1/2 inch ratchet, it's a 3/8" ratchet.
96-98 cars are 1/2"

****ing only 13k. I am from New England and everything looks brand new and there is no rust on anything including the exhaust and everything. But.... it is a Ford.
