DTC P1151???? Any IDEAS?????
Maybe. During the clutch swap, I obviously had the exhaust off. When everything was put back together I had an exhaust leak, b/c I bent one of my pieces. So it threw a trouble code.
P1151.

But here's the short of it.
Quote: A Heated Exhaust Oxygen (HO2S) sensor indicating lean at the end of a test is trying to correct for an over-rich condition. The test fails when the fuel control system no longer detects switching for a calibrated amount of time.
So I read that website, and found this as one of the causes "Exhaust leaks before or near the HO2S(s)" well duh. I have a huge exhaust leak right after the header. So I cleared the DTC's, and took it to the muffler shop, where I got it bent back, and had a couple odds and ends catback pieces welded together. No problem huh? I cleared the DTC's and went on. I drove it ALOT and no light. I went to the track last night, and nothing. NOW today, it's popping back up again. P1151. I turned it off, it came right back on. The car is getting HORRIBLE gas mileage.
Anyone had any trouble with this CEL code? Just look at the list of possible problems. WHERE DO I FREAKIN START???????
Short to VPWR in the harness or HO2S
Water in the harness connector
Open/shorted HO2S circuit
Corrosion or poor mating terminals and wiring
Damaged HO2S
Damaged PCM
Excessive fuel pressure
Leaking/contaminated fuel injectors
Leaking fuel pressure regulator
Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel
Vapor recovery system
Air leaks after the MAF
Vacuum Leaks
Improperly seated engine oil dipstick
Leaking gasket
Stuck EGR valve
Leaking diaphragm or EVR
Oil overfill
Cam Timing
Cylinder compression
Exhaust leaks before or near the HO2S(s)

RE: DTC P1151???? Any IDEAS?????
Here's what i came up with from all data
-Check air intake system for leaks, obstructions, and damage, air cleaner element for blockage housing blockage
-Check for vacuum leaks
-Check PCV system
At this point they gave me a massive amout of checks to do on the MAF sensor, etc etc (like you said...read your *** off lol)
And afterwords to sum it up it basically has you check for air leaks, maf sensor operation, evap leaks (smog test i would assume?) and of course, exhaust leaks. also check the actual 02 sensor itself, it also has a pcm reflash as a solution as well....its like an assload of information and flow charts so if ya come up with anything or need anymore information let me know specifically and ill pull it up
Hope this somehow helps! let me know if ya need anymore information. its from a 2000GT but it really shouldnt matter too much
