Spinner, it is possible for those to beat a stock 4.6 as long as it had some work and a good driver...We already established that droptop was not a ricer but a person who drove a respectable import.. dont start anymore fights in this thread please..

A turbocharged civic or accord is lucky to run 14's, 12's to mee just doesnt seem practical. IMO a 12 second daily driven honda is the equivalent of 9 second daily driven Mustang. Both are VERY few and far between, hard to believe you have a couple friends with 12 second Hondas. Hey don't shoot the messenger, I'm sure I'm not the only person wondering this

Respectable import sport cars that people have "never seen": BMW M3, M5, ANY Z model, Mercedes SL500, Nissan Skyline GT-R, Acura NSX (any type S or R), Toyota Supra, Mazda Rx-7, Ferarri F50, Lamborgini Diablo, Diablo GT, Murcilago.

Those are just a few that I think just MIGHT be respectable imports.I can't stand guys who think fart cannons, and 5ft wings make 'em fast, but a really clean/fast car is respected by me whoever makes it. I have never been a Civic fan, but aside from the RX-7, any of the afformentioned cars would replace my '02 Stang if I had the opportunity.

No rockets on my car. I was talking about 97-98 4.6 stangs with 225hp not the newer ones. On the Si I had cai, headers, Integra type R exhaust so it looked bone stock. Had the timing bumped a vtech controller and a 55 shot which I got just 3 months before it got totalled. Top end the stnag got me oast 90 mph, but from 0-90 I was a little ahead. About a half a car. Not that I'm trying to brag, but I was pretty happy with the performance of my car. Oh yeah needles to say I'm pretty sure that was a stock GT.

There's not many "riced" out mustangs in Houston, I saw one a while back and haven't seen one since.

I still thinks its safe to say that, in general, there are not many riced out stangs when compared to import cars. Because of that, is it not reasonable to assume that most import cars can be stereotyped as ricers.

After many years of Honda bashing (wannabe racers) I found a Honda owner I can repect. I work with him and we talk car shiz some times. He was claiming he could beat a stock Mustang GT. Even a new one. I was really starting to wonder. I asked him if his car was turbo charged of if he used n02. He said no. I'm starting to think, how could he beat a 260hp stang. Well I played with him yesterday after work. I must say, I really had to hit it hard to pull on him. Using a modded Galant VR4 that is.

The Honda civic mods : JDM Type R engine, intake, and exhaust. 2200 lbs 191whp.

The owner gets repect for 1 spending money on a honda that makes it go fast, 2 not having any stickers or straying from a stock look, 3 not spending wods of cash on huge rims that show off the tinny winny brakes. The only thing on the body that is not stock in the cf hood, but it looks rather nice with the dark green paint of the car.

There is such a thing as a fast honda. I've got a friend that has an all motor 93 hatch back that runs consistant 13.1's all day. His bast time was a 12.8. Yeah the car is gutted and worked to the bone, but no stupid *** stickers all over it.
