Default BUSTED!!!

So i think my fuel pump has died on me, is there anything i could check before taking the car to a fuel pump pressure test, like for example a fuel relay o something (i already changed the fuel filter). The car just works fine and suddenly starts to die and im still kind of hoping the pump aint the problem!!!

Any help would be extremely appreciated!!! Thanks

the pressure test is the best bet if you suspect the pump is bad. does the car start? if so the relay is most likely good.

the car starts fine, the only thing is that it after a while the gas pedal stops responding and the more you press it the more the casr loses power, i know my best bet s to replace the fuel pump, i just wanted to make sure it wasnt anything else.

By the way, is it easy enough for me to replace it or should i pay somebody to do it?, i imagine its in the tank, so how hard is it!?!? Any write uo would be helpful!!!

i think it would be best that you verify fuel pressure when the engine stalls before just replacing the pump. even if it seems like the pump is bad, it may be something else. its worth it to not waste money on guessing.

Dont go throwing parts at it. If you cant properly diag it, take it to someone who can.

From what you described your pump is dying. Buy a cheapo fuel pressure gauge and test it. Don't pay someone to change a fuel pump, if you need help I will send my pet monkey that I trained to change a fuel pump in 5 minutes over to help you out.
