Miss/Stumble at idle and while driving
Lately, when my car is idling, it has a slight miss, every few seconds. Its not a constant miss, but you just feel a "bump" then its fine for a few seconds and does it again. Also when driving down the road at about 35-40, you can watch the tach moving up and down very very slightly. I am not sure where to start. Its an 02 auto with 52,000 miles on it. I was thinking TPS, but would that cause the described miss at idle? Maybe the plugs need to be changed? Thanks in advance for your help!

Check cylinder numbers 5 and 6 coilpacks. I just had that same problem recently, i have no other justification to make such an diaognosis so be aware.
Otherwise check and change your plugs if you havent recently. Have you washed your engine bay at all? Any miss or stuble is more often then not ignition related.

as said already check your COP's. My Lincoln LS does the same thing about 2-5 times a day I will hear a miss at idle. I am sure its a COP failing as its now got 140k on it.
I'm waiting for it to fail completely and then I will replace it.

This is why I asked for a sticky about COPs...do a quick search about COPs, we had a great discussion on testing just recently.
On a side note, it MAY not be COPs, as I have replaced all my cops and plugs and I still have a little bump every once in a while at idle. Nothing while driving just at idle. Check your injectors as well.
