Default Gear break in period

I know there have probably been countless threads about this but I couldn't see to find a straight forward answer. I'm picking up my car today after having 4.10s installed. Do I need to take it easy on her for a couple hundred miles or can I put the pedal to the floor leaving the parking lot?

The two mustang i have owed 3.73's in one and 4.10's in this one. I was told by the master ford tech @ evolution motorsports that i could drive how ever i wanted too after the install, he said to change the gear fluid after 500 miles, which i did. I had no problems.

After the test drive, if all is well and you hear no grinding or whistling noises you are good to go.
Enjoy the 4.10's!

p.s. If you have a hand held tuner, arrow down and change your gear selection and it'll fix your speedometer.

take the test drive as stated above and ensure there is no whining etc, then feel free to drive it like you stole it. there is NO break in period for FRPP gears. Motive claims there is, F*ck motive. lol.

I have however never heard that you should change the gear oil after 500 miles, the speedshop that did mine does about a dozen a week and he told me i wouldnt have to change the gear oil for like the rest of the time i own the car. (like 75-100k miles)

I believe Fo Mo Co recommends right in first, then left in second to ensure proper break-in.
