TwEECer, Quarterhorse, or Megasquirt?
So, i've been thinkin about the tuning situation, and have come down to these 3 choices. as i would really love to be able to tune the car myself.
I love the megasquirt concept, and since im going to be boosted soon, the MAP sensor doesnt seem all that bad (MSII has option for both MAP and MAF yay) problem is, it requires alot of electrical work, its a parallel system, and could possibly create problems with emissions, doesnt provide anything for like turning off rear O2's or any of that good stuff. the price is awesome tho, if you have a laptop already (i do).
the TwEECer i know very little about as noone really mentions anything about it, i have heard a couple good things from 5.0 guys, but not much from the 4.6. if anything, i would get the R/T as it has datalogging features. 550$. not too bad. plug and play, but some people say learning curve is a tad hard.
Quarterhorse, plugs into EEC, seems a ton cheaper. 250$ for the basic kit. very little documentation, but theres a couple forums out there. seems like it would be harder than TwEECer. heard some people use it WITH TwEECer for the datalogging.
if anyone could shed some light onto these it would be helpful. im not interested in SCT or Diablo or Delta Forces.
