EEC-IV to Megasquirt
Has anybody done this swap? Why? The reason I ask is I'm having a surging problem between 1500-2000 rpm's. I have a 351W with an EEC-IV, C&L 73mm MAF, TFS intake and Track Heat heads, 75mm Edelbrock TB, Comp Cam w/.534 lift int/exh 230/236 @.050 int/exh lobe 112 advance 4, Probe Pistons 8.53 to 1 w/61cc , and factory EEC. I was going to purchase The Tweecer, but something is stoping me. The more I research the less I know. So back to square one. Do buy the Tweecer, Megasquirt, or burn chip (Moates.net)? I know this is a loaded question. I'm not looking for the easiest way, just the most reliable. I would love to be able to burn "chips", but if the learning curve is 2 years forget it. I have another project that I will start when I'm finished with the Mustang, something harder than this, so I would like to be proficient in something (chip burning, Tweecer, or Megasquirt).
