Exclamation New dash installed and no interior power

Last night I helped a friend of mine (cisurfer) install a new dash in his car. Everything went back together fine. When he goes to turn the car on, the only things that work are the HVAC and the gauges will start working after 10-15 secs. He has no interior lights, power lock and windows, headlights, brakelights or anything. The car will start up and drive though. Anybody here have an idea? Everything was connected and plugged in. The only problem was that we pinched a wire on the steering column when tightening the bolts for it down, but the wire wasn't cut. Any help would be great. He is going to take it apart again later and look at it since he is at work and making me post this for him. Thanks guys

Sounds like the pinched wire is the culprit. It could be broken internally and look ok from the outside or the pinch could have caused a short and blown a fuse.
